Baltazar's Stone FAQ

Have a stone-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Is this real/natural stone?

With the exception of brick, we carry from some of our vendors, all of the stone we manufacture and sell is natural stone sourced from quarries here in the U.S.

  • What is the wait time?

We are able to deliver stone from the time an order is placed between one to three months. Wait times will vary throughout the year due to multiple factors like stone availability, high order volume, and weather.

  • Where does the stone come from?

There are quarries we work with in the Midwest and Southern states that provide us with raw material regularly, but we have contacts that extend coast to coast in the event a special order is needed.

  • Is natural stone more expensive?

The price of natural stone fluctuates and in more recent years has come down enough to begin rivaling its faux counterpart. There are variables that affect the price such as cut style and availability, which could put it higher in price, but we still recommend natural stone every time.

  • Does the color of natural stone change over time?

Every stone has unique properties and many of the stones that are used outdoor will likely acquire a form of patina, slight weathering, or start to rust/brown in color if they contain high amounts of iron. Changes like these are completely natural and have no reason for alarm. In some cases where natural stone is installed near pools, there can be some marks that form due to chlorine or salt content but can be easily washed off with water and brush much like a broom.
